The Prespa-Ohrid Lakes Panorama is a twelve-hour scenic and cultural journey through some of North Macedonia’s most breathtaking landscapes and historic landmarks.

The day begins in Bitola with a guided tour of the city’s monuments, including the Clock Tower, Isak Çelebi Mosque, Bezisten, Old Bazaar, Yeni Mosque, and the richly decorated St. Demetrius Church. As the group walks along the Shirok Sokak promenade, guests take in the neoclassical charm of the city before stopping at the Catholic Church, Heart of Jesus monument, and House of the Army. A visit to the National Museum includes a room dedicated to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, followed by a short drive to Heraclea Lyncestis and the city’s three historic cemeteries, reflecting its Ottoman, Balkan War, and World War history.

From there, the tour heads into the hills to visit Rotino village and its lake, then makes a stop at Hotel Molika in Pelister National Park for a rest or optional coffee break. A brief pause in the village of Malovishte offers a chance to hear stories from local shepherds and admire traditional stone-roofed homes. The route then climbs through the Galichica National Park, where a winding mountain road leads to panoramic views of both Prespa and Ohrid Lakes. This stretch of the trip includes time for photo breaks and a moment to appreciate the natural divide between two major freshwater basins.

On the Prespa side, there is time to glance across the lake, sometimes including a view of Golem Grad, known as “Snake Island.” Later in the day, the group visits St. Naum Monastery, known for its legends and spring-fed waters, and the Bay of Bones museum, a lakeside reconstruction of a prehistoric settlement built on stilts. The tour concludes in Ohrid with a relaxed walk along the shoreline before returning to Bitola in the evening.
